Summer Mall Kuching

Update: Just knew that Summer hall is going to build a waterpark!! Yahoo!

Shopping malls are mushrooming around here in Kuching. Although i'm at 10,000 kilometre's away from home, I still find time to read any news regarding my hometown and yes- since it's Summer here in Sheffield, i've just remembered that there's a shopping mall in Kuching called Summer Mall!

The concept of Summer Mall is similar to The Spring- pretty much an exact same replica but with slight differences. I like the fact that it's at Kota Samarahan; if its located somewhere around Kuching, i'm pretty sure the traffic jam would get worse. There's not many shopping malls here in Petra Jaya though, the place where i'm currently staying but I don't really mind travelling to get my hands on some shopping spree.

There are a few exciting tenants (where most of them are usually the same everywhere in Kuching) at Summer Mall, and I love the concept of having a cinema, k-box, cyber cafes, arcade and a bowling alley in one building- makes it more "entertainment" friendly compared to The Spring which only has cinema, the newly added arcade and k-box.

If everything is to be in completion, there would be 5 big shopping malls now in Kuching, particularly The Spring, Summer Mall, CityOne, Merdeka Plaza and Boulevard.

Waterpark and ice-skating ring next, please? =B

Plus, it would be a great idea to renovate the shopping malls at the city centre, especially Sarawak Plaza, Tun Jugah and Riverside. It's been the heritage Kuchingnites to shop there during the early days.
