From now on;
You guys can call me Detective.
Detective Bazil.
Not too long ago, I have successfully covered the track of a bike thief- not the one who stole my bike, but a bike thief somewhere around Sheffield, who stole Harry's Orange P7 bike.
Hopefully its one of many bike thieves being caught in Sheffield- bike thieves are everywhere in the UK.
Last week, when I was searching for a bike on ebay, I saw this Boardman Full Suspension bike which was selling for peanuts. Bid it on the last 5 seconds. But got sniped on the last 3 seconds and didn't have the time to react to put a new increased bid.
I was devastated ofcourse- and the next day, the seller who sold the boardman bike contacted me (I asked him wether the bike was really sold- I was that desperate) saying that he has another bike for sale, a certain Orange P7. Googled it right away and was very surprised to see that the retail price of the bike was £1600 new. I'm pretty sure this could cost me atleast £800-1000 for a second-hand, at most.
But he was offering me for £550 and it seems to good too be true and I asked for pictures of the bike; it seems that the bike is well kept, and is in immaculate condition.
Alright- i'm gonna put that bike on my list. £550. Save, save, save. Not gonna eat for a month campaign is onnn brothaaaa!!
Before finalizing my decision, I asked the Sheffield bike community wether I should buy this bike and posted a picture of it- and that was when Harry came and said that it was his bike.
Harry and Ross asked me for his phone number, email, and some more photo's of the bike which I gladly gave them and in a matter of days, the bike has been recovered and the police are taking the matter in their investigation.
Didn't really thought that my bike hunting week ended up in successfully capturing a bike thief.
Oh well, that was for you, Barracuda.
=)

Bike Theft
Nobody want their bikes to be stolen. Bikes nowadays cost people a fortune and me myself was very gutted indeed when my very own bike was stolen by those fucking thieves.
Parked in the university, packed with CCTV's- still got stolen.
I still can't get over it though because that bike cost me a lot and unfortunately the police can't do anything about it all now. Most people will start giving up when their bikes get stolen but yeah, i'm not that type of person who easily gives up and put to an end for something that I love to do. I'll try to save up as much money as I could and buy myself a new one- and make sure its insured, registered at immobilised.com and locked with atleast 3 locks each time I wanna ride it to lectures.
It's shocking really, that in the UK, for every 65 seconds, a bike is stolen and less than 5% are given back to their rightful owners. Imagine a million bikes got stolen, that's only 50,000 bikes returned and what about the 950,000 stolen bikes?
Sold off to black market for parts, in the streets and if you're actually fortunate enough- in eBay. Bike thieves nowadays ain't stupid and some of them doesn't look like bike thieves at all. They could use a hacksaw, a crowbar and a power tool which could easily hack off your lock/chain in mere seconds. It's best to invest in a D-lock and if you could afford it, buy two of them to ensure maximum security. Always park your bike at busy streets so that people could see those meddling thieves and I was a bit unfortunate as at the university bike parking, nobody was there to look around.
I did bought myself a D-lock (bought it during the easter break) but I didn't had the time to put it on my bike on Monday as I was rushing for class and intended to use it this Wednesday but yeah, shit happens.
Take a look of these video's and educate yourself-
And last but not atleast-
To bike thieves-
t(-.-t)
And
FUCK YOU!
p:s// People, do your part in the community. If you spot suspicious acts or people in the streets, please do not hesitate to call the police or simply, whack their heads with a spanar.

Backflip
I'm sure most of you guys know what a backflip is. It's really common on motorbike, mountain biking and bmx sports.
It's a totally dangerous move, and could even cause serious injury or even fatal, if executed wrongly. I don't know why but i've been watching a lot of mountain biking videos recently, learning some of the bits on how to mountain trail, cycle better and get in the controls of your bike- and in of those many videos they showed some of the riders doing a backflip, in which, somehow, I think, I really wanna do it.

Looks pretty dangerous, right?
I'll put backflip as one of the stupid crazy things I wanna do in my life.
I know that if I flunked my way out of the backflip and ended up in a wheelchair, I could still do a backflip, nevertheless.
Close enough.

Fun Weekend And Cycling To The Peak District!
This weekend has been really, really fun.
Like crazy fun. Nang best gila-gila eh. Best gila babi ku madah kawu.
After a disastrous design project, I had 3 days off for this week, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I didn't do anything much on Friday though, except for the fact that I went out with my friends at Raja's for some yamcha session- celebrating the 4 days agony that we had to face throughout the design week.
On Saturday however, it was as usual as any other Saturday morning where me and my friends play football at All Saints and during the night there's a program called "Santai" which were organized SMSA and PMPMS. There were Malaysian food such as Nasi Kerabu, Laksam, Nasi Lemak and my favourite, Satay!
Lamak dah sik makan sate do..macam sakai jak time aku nanga satay.
The food was delicious, especially the Nasi Lemak! Sedap gile. Tip top. Tremendous. Cukup rasa masam, masin, manis, pedas and pahit. Semua ngam2.
There were also some performances and a friend of mine, J-Kal whom stole the highlights with good vocal and stage displays when he sang Camilia infront of the crowd. I must say the sound system were a bit dreadful though. If not it would be a very scintillating and lovely night.
The awesomeness of the weekend starts on Sunday, where I joined the Kembara Peak District event and I had the opputurnity to visit and cycle at the Peak District- a totally awesome place!!
There's no better way to describe the fun with these pictures! I didn't bring my dslr along though. It would be nice if I did, but it would be such a burden to bring around. An action cam sounds nice, no? =p
Awesomeness level: OVER 9000!!!!
We rode through cliffs, hills, mountains, trees, rivers, mud, grass, desert, you name it- we cycled it! The ride was so much fun and you get to see those beautiful sceneries with every paddle you did. When I was cycling, I found that excitement, that thrilling sensation and feeling- adrenaline rushing through your brain from your blood produced from the bone marrows, pushing every limits and stamina you got just for that final push.
I'm just sooo totally in love with cycling now.
So now, I propose-

The Barracuda Big Eye
This is my new ride, the Big Eye, from Barracuda.
I bought it for 250 pounds from rutlandcycling.com and I found it the most worth it for their specs. I havent ride it though and I shall ride this bad ass for my trip to the Peak District this Sunday. I had to part ways with my old bike and the bike had served me well for 5months. I have to confess, that this bike feels so much well built compared to the Dunlop which I bought. Well yeah, quality is costs, as they say.
With Suntour SF12-XCT V4 suspension fork, 24 speed Shimano EZ fire shifters and FC-M131 alloy cranks, Tektro Novela disc brake and Kenda Koyote Tyres, what's not to like for the Big Eye? =p
The bike looks totally awesome, right? Haha. I used to cycle almost everyday when I was a kid. I never had a bicycle and usually I use my sisters bike everytime I wanna go cycling with my cousins and friends. I love it when the wind flows through your hair and breezes through your body. I love it when the hill gets steeper and makes you feel like a racer when you cycle downhill.
AND I TOTALLY HATE IT EVERYTIME I HAVE TO CYCLE BACK TO MY APARTMENT, UPHILL!!
Argh, the agony of having a bike! Lol. Anyways, speaking of bikes, check out this video's from youtube, they're super cool.
These guys really do have big balls and I totally admire their bravery. I wish I could do these stuffs later on. Extreme cycling! I wonder what happens if the person on the 3rd video suddenly crashes to the side..the hills are pretty damn scary!!
The last meme in the picture seems legit. Lol.
